Lake with dad

Hey everyone, had a bit of an unexpected outing today with my dad

He took me fishing, which doesn’t happen too often. Usually, this fishing gig is more of a brotherly thing between him and my bro, that or hunting. I guess I’m not really the outdoorsy type, but hey, I gave it a shot. I guess he was trying to make up for lost time or something.

So, there I was, at the lake, trying to get into the fishing groove. But truth be told, I felt a bit out of place. Dad and him used to bond so much over this type of stuff, but I’ve never really felt that connection with them.

Instead, I decided to do my thing – I grabbed my headphones, plugged into IA’s album, and let the music transport me to another world. It’s pretty chilly despite the sun shining bright, but IA’s tunes kept me cozy.

IA just dropped a new album called “IA The World - Light,” (Light in japanese is Hikari btw, which is the original name) and man, it’s like a breath of fresh air. Her vocals, the melodies – they’re like therapy to my ears. I zoned out by the lake, completely immersed in her music.

While my dad was casting hislines, I was lost in IA’s world, exploring each track, soaking in the beats, and forgetting about the world around me. It’s funny how music has this way of taking you on a journey, even in the midst of fishing in chilly weather.

Didn’t catch any fish, but I caught some killer vibes from IA’s album. Sometimes, it’s not about the fishing; it’s about finding your own rhythm, your own escape, even when you’re surrounded by something unfamiliar. I particularly likex “Sweet Girl” that was the best track so far. Not as strong as her debut album, but i’m sure i’ll fall in love with it on future listens.
